Join us at SOAR HQ, 107 Clifton St, London EC2A 4LG, from 18:45 on Wednesday 5 June, where we will be talking to Dr Nicky Keay (medical doctor and researcher), Alice Murray-Gourlay (dietician and sports nutritionist) and Jake Smith (professional runner) about REDs and what every amateur runner should know about it.
We've partnered with marathoners Steph McCall and Rose Harvey of podcast 5 Miles Easy, to offer one lucky winner a SOAR Race Vest and Marathon Shorts to update their racing wardrobe. Simply sign up to receive SOAR email offers and news and one runner will be chosen at random and notified on 31/05/2024.
SOAR caught up with GB Athlete Rachel Hodgkinson, last seen running London in a Rainbow Vest and Marathon Speed Shorts. Having taken over an hour off the time of her debut London run in 2017, Rachel’s 2023 PB of 2h34 secured her a first ever spot on the Elite Women’s Start.
Talented Canadian ultrarunner and trail podium hunter Priscilla Forgie, is the latest addition to the SOAR Race Team. Priscilla grabbed attention in 2021 after winning the 125K Canadian Death Race and Grizzly Ultra 50K. In 2022 she won the Near Death Marathon whilst setting an overall course record.
Photographer Ashley Stewart travelled to the Rockies to capture Priscilla in training, as she builds up to compete in this year’s race, taking place 29-30 June.
